Abuja based Alhaji declared wanted after allegedly killing student

- Alhaji Usman Adamu who allegedly killed one Joy Odama has been declared wanted by the Police Force Headquarters

- Adamu was said to have been living in Abuja before he allegedly committed the murder

- The Police Force Headquarters in its effort to arrest the suspect has therefore urged Nigerians to disclose his whereabouts

Alhaji Usman Adamu who allegedly killed a student identified as Joy Odama has been declared wanted by the Police Force Headquarters.

It was learnt that the Alhaji resided in Abuja, Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where he allegedly committed the murder.

Reports have it that the girl is a 200 Level student of Cross River state University.

Meanwhile, the Force Headquarters was said to have queried the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Karmo where the incident happened.

Confirming the issuance of arrest warrant on Alhaji Adamu, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood: said: “The said Alhaji Adamu is on the run, but we are looking for him because he has a case to answer.

“All Police Commands across the country have been alerted that the Alhaji is a suspect in the death of Miss Joy Odama and should be arrested if seen anywhere.''

On the transfer of Karmo DPO, Moshood confirmed his query and removal, saying it was for inefficiency.

It could be recalled that in a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, the Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, the mother of the deceased, Philomena Odama, said that the last day she saw her daughter was when she left for Alhaji’s place.

She also lamented that the Alhaji later offered the family N400,000 to drop the matter after it was reported to the Police.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that a bereaved mother, Philomena Odama, has cried out to the world to help her get justice for her daughter allegedly murdered by one Alhaji Adamu Usman in Abuja.

Odama alleged that Usman murdered her daughter under the pretense of helping her financed her and other girls in the neighbourhood to finance their education.

Odama wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police and Senate president alleging that the police and the alleged killer of her daughter coerced her to collect N400,000 as settlement after her daughter's death.
