Butterfly with 15 photoreceptors that can see UV, polarized light found

Scientists have found that a butterfly species from Australasia - Graphium sarpedon or common blueblottle - has 15 classes of light-detecting cells or photoreceptors, enabling them to see fast moving objects better than the human eye and even distinguish ultraviolet and polarized light.

When Apple CEO Tim Cook was in the sixth or seventh grade, he confronted the KKK while they were burning a cross on a black family's lawn in Alabama, according to details revealed by the Washington Post's Todd Frankel. 

In the early 1970s, [Cook] was riding his new 10-speed bicycle at night along a rural road just outside Robertsdale when he spotted a burning cross. He pedaled closer.

Biolight Life Sciences ups number of shares in initial public offerings

Biolight Life Sciences , a global ophthalmology company, said Wednesday that it is raising the number of common shares in its initial public offering to 2.1 million from 1.8 million shares. The company said it is also offering warrants to buy up to 2.1 million shares. The company has applied to list the share on the Nasdaq under the symbol "BOLT." The company's shares are already trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
