China to release more water to alleviate Southeast Asia drought

Man found slain in car on West Philadelphia street

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say a man was found shot to death inside a car parked on a West Philadelphia street. Neighbors called police early Tuesday because they thought the man was either asleep or dead. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released his name and no arrests have been made.

Police in the town of Guilderland say Cory Ash of Albany was driving on Western Avenue around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday when he hit a guardrail at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and ended up in a bank parking lot. The crash scene is near where the southern end of the Adirondack Northway meets Western Avenue.
