2 guided missiles containers found bobbing in the Pacific

Guided Missile, were discovered bobbing in the Pacific Ocean near the southeast Alaska island community of Craig. Alaska State Troopers say both were empty, and information from tags attached to the boxes was sent to U.S. military authorities.

Canadian turtle smuggler receives nearly 5 years in prison

(AP) — A Canadian man who repeatedly entered Michigan to buy and ship thousands of turtles to his native China only to be caught with 51 of them strapped to his legs was sentenced Tuesday to nearly five years in federal prison for smuggling. Ahead of the hearing, Xu wrote a letter to U.S. District Judge John Corbett O'Meara, saying he sold turtles partly to make money for college. REPORT: Federal regulators will reject the 'living wills' of at least 4 Wall Street banks

At least half of the banks deemed "too big too fail" will reportedly have a key proposal rejected by federal regulators.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, regulators are planning to reject the "living wills" submitted by four of the eight "systemically important" banks.

These wills are documents outlining how the bank would handle a possible bankruptcy in a way that would not be burdensome on the public or lead to another bailout.

Environmental groups sue over pollution from airliners

WASHINGTON (AP) — A coalition of environmental groups sued federal regulators Tuesday over long-sought pollution standards for airliners and cargo planes. The groups allege the Environmental Protection Agency has unreasonably delayed for years using the Clean Air Act to enforce limits on heat-trapping greenhouse gas emissions from aircraft. Environmentalists have criticized that proposed reduction as too modest to significantly curb climate change, and are pushing the EPA to enact more stringent standards for domestic aircraft.
