One of Valeant's creditors just gave it the worst possible news

One of Valeant Pharmaceuticals' creditors has told the company that it will call a default on the company, Dow Jones reports.

Earlier this month, Valeant announced that it had secured agreement to avoid default and refinance $11 billion in secured loans from 50% of those creditors.

The company risked default because it had failed to file its annual report by March 15, and a failure to file it before April 29 would have triggered a technical default on those loans.

Big oil rally propels US stocks higher

New York, April 12, 2016 (AFP) -Strong gains by petroleum producers and large banks propelled US stocks higher Tuesday as the market brushed aside a downcast growth forecast from the International Monetary Fund. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 164.84 points (0.94 percent) at 17,721.25.

SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket into space and then improbably landed its booster on the deck of a robotic ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

The level of precision, accuracy, and ingenuity that went into this feat is mind-boggling. In fact, four previous ocean-landing attempts by the aerospace company ended in explosions.

A Stanford student won $15,000 for an invention that helps autistic kids pick up emotion

Autism Spectrum Disorder currently affects 1 in 68 kids in the United States, impairing their cognitive functions (in some cases) and their emotional intelligence.

Catalin Voss, a Stanford University graduate student, wants to make that emotional deficit a thing of the past.
