Man arrested in Northern California Amber alert case

(AP) — Soledad police have arrested a man suspected of stealing a car with a 2-year-old Monterey County boy inside then ditching the car at an abandoned shed with the toddler still in a child-safety seat. Soledad Police Chief Eric Sills says 27-year-old Carmen Rogelio Maldonado was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, kidnapping and attempted murder.
