Last month, Imgur user TonyaTooners shared an incredible DIY project in which they "tiled" 13,000 pennies to create a new, one-of-a-kind floor for their bedroom.

The user said they single-handedly glued the pennies down in a tile-like pattern and with alternating heads and tails facing up.

"Mike" Kelley Jr., who served 14 years as a member of the Federal Reserve Board and was instrumental in modernizing the banking operations of the Federal Reserve system, has died. During much of his tenure on the board, Kelley chaired the committee that oversaw the operations and payment systems of the Fed's 12 regional banks. Greenspan said Kelley was also instrumental in increasing the efficiency of Fed operations by modernizing the way its regional banks coordinated the handling of services to commercial banks.

Nationals superstar outfielder Bryce Harper won't become a free agent until 2018, but his days in Washington could be numbered thanks to the $400 million contract Harper is reportedly seeking. 

Citing a "high-ranking Nationals executive", USA Today's Bob Nightengale on Monday reported that the Nats have began contract extension talks with Harper, amd are now preparing for life without him because of how much money he will seek.

Top Republican says he won't back Trump's plan for huge tariffs

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy declined on Monday to support President-elect Donald Trump's proposal to impose a 35% tariff on companies that leave the US.

The California Republican was responding to a series of tweets from Trump over the weekend outlining his plan to impose a large tariff against companies that ship jobs overseas. The tariff would be imposed on the goods shipped back into the US.
