Sensex down 587 points on weak China data, slower India GDP growth

Renewed fears about the slowing Chinese economy, combined with the less-than-expected domestic GDP growth for June quarter and the rising crude oil price, spooked Dalal Street investors on Tuesday leading to a 587-point (or 2.2%) crash in the sensex which closed at 25,696.
