Predator paradox: When there's lots of prey, predators lose

A lush savannah teeming with zebras, gazelles and wildebeests may look like an all-you-can eat buffet for lions. But a Canadian study suggests the existence of a surprising law of nature: that predators don't have much to gain from lots of extra prey.
