Snakes on a plane: Raheem Sterling poses with Manchester City teammate Fabian Delph on Instagram
Raheem Sterling's protracted move from Liverpool to Manchester City earlier this summer saw the 20-year-old criticised by fans for his desire to leave Brendan Rodgers' side.
The 20-year-old's talent had been nurtured on Merseyside but he decided that his future development would be best served with Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
A £49m move was completed in July and some Liverpool fans remain disgruntled about their former prize asset's conduct.
Sterling's early form at City has been impressive and he has played a pivotal role in their flawless start to the Premier League season.
As a result, he was included in Roy Hodgson's England squad, who are set to take on San Marino in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Saturday night.
Sterling's new City teammate Fabian Delph has also been deemed worthy of inclusion by the Three Lions; despite only managing to play just 21 minutes of Premier League football this season.
The 25-year-old midfielder has also received his fair share of criticism after signing for City in the summer.
Delph initially pledged his allegiance to Aston Villa before doing a U-turn and joining the Citizens for £8m, which the Villa faithful didn't take kindly to.
Now the pair have posed in a photograph on Instagram poking fun at the unflattering 'snake' label that some supporters have directed towards them of late.

Snakes on a plane? Samuel L. Jackson would be proud.
