Spain’s Euro 2016 away kit appears to have leaked on the internet, and it is certainly likely to provoke a mixed reaction.
After the sedate yet stylish affair that was the home kit, launched yesterday in combative style by Diego Costa, the second strip is a rather bizarre fashion decision.
With a triangular mess of reds, oranges and yellows in the top-right of a white shirt one might generously say this leak, provided by the reliable Footy Headlines, is attention-grabbing.
However there may be some method in the sartorial madness. It seems that Adidas are merely following the current trend in fashion to repackage all things 90s, with the new away kit bearing a notable resemblance to the 1994 World Cup strip.
The official release of the away kit has yet to be confirmed, though Spain will have to wear a change strip when they travel to Brussels for a friendly next week.
The kit has certainly divided opinion on Twitter, with several praising its unique design whilst others compared it less favourably to the country’s national dish.
