Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp mocked soon to be Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola after his former club Mainz defeated Bayern Munich.

The Reds had just defeated Man City 3 – 0 who will be coached by the Spaniard next season, hence yesterday was all about Klopp.

Goals from Adam Lallana, James Milner and Roberto Firmino condemned the Blues to defeat.

Reacting to the news, Klopp couldn’t hold back his laughter at hearing Bayern Munich lost 2 – 1 to his former team Mainz in the Bundesliga after embarrassing the team he would be talking over in the summer.

Bayern are now just five points clear of Borussia Dortmund, another of Klopp’s former sides.

The Bavarians were expected to go on and win the match after Arjen Robben scored the equalising goal midway through the second half  after Jario Samperio had put Mainz ahead in the 26th minute – but an 86th-minute winner from Jhon Cordoba stunned the German champions.

Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City  are now level on points with fifth-placed Manchester United and just one ahead of sixth-placed West Ham.
