Model boss sex crimes case postponed
The trial of model agency boss Dawie De Villiers, accused of multiple sex crimes and fraud, was postponed because the judge was not available.
|||Johannesburg – The trial of model agency boss Dawie De Villiers accused of multiple sex crimes and fraud was on Thursday postponed again at the High Court sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court because the judge was not available.
Judge Cassim Moosa was not available because he was presiding over another matter that has run past it’s scheduled time.
Earlier this week on Monday De Villiers’ case was postponed for the same reason.
De Villiers faces multiple charges including sexual assault, indecent assault, sexual grooming, possession of child porn, rape, compelled self assault, accessing child porn, fraud and intimidation.
The state has lined up 46 witnesses to testify against De Villiers. The witness list includes young children he allegedly exposed to pornography, alleged victims, experts and investigators. Some of them have already testified.
De villiers, who has pleaded not guilty to all the charges, will next appear in court on 7 March.
