The Sokoto state government has reacted to the reports that 15-year-old Patience Paul from Benue state was abducted by two men to Gidan kukah, Runji sambo area of Sokoto state, with the intention of converting her to Islam.
The girl’s brother who raised the alarm alleged that his sister is being held in the Sultan’s palace.
In a series of tweets posted on Thursday, March 3, Imam Imam, the media representative of Governor Aminu Tambuwal, revealed that the state Human Rights Commission was directed to undertake a thorough investigation into the allegations and present an interim report.
