Our source harped on the fact that there is a cordial relationship currently at the label and that the fast-rising rapper, Milli, is still a very active member of Chocolate City music.
He said: “I don’t understand this, a fight? There was no fight at the label. It is really funny how these rumours start. But anyway, Milli has not left the label.”
When asked what the young rapper is currently up to at the moment, our source responded saying there are some recording projects currently going on with Milli fully involved.
He said: “Milli is recording presently. He is busy making new music and as you know these things take time. It takes quite some time for music to be ready. So he is taking his time and recording basically.”
Pulse also reported MI Abaga as denying allegations of Milli’s exit.
Via a statement, the Chairman rapper told Pulse that Milli is still a part of the label.
On women close to him being a part of the label’s management process he responded: “As a forward thinking company we employ women and are happy to announce that women do work in our company and are an active part of moving our company forward. We believe all companies should.”
This come on the heels of several reports recently that Milli has left the label and is currently with a new outfit called UpNext Universe.
Also, a recent report from E247 magazine stated that Chocolate City is managed by MI’s sister, Sarah, and his girlfriend, Erica Okindaye, who currently plays the role of Human Resources Manager at the company, a situation that has allegedly led to some issues at the company.
It is reported that the ladies brought about a difference in the ambiance at the company, leading to cracks in many relationships there.
In all of this, though the label claims all is well and still has Milli’s profile on its website, the rapper has deleted everything linking him to Chocolate City on his social media accounts.
Chocolate City Music Company is an urban music label which currently houses 14 artistes.
