A story told through cello and voice

Outstanding storyteller and vocal mimic Charlie Varon teams up with renowned Kronos Quartet cellist Joan Jeanrenaud to tell a tale of an elderly World War II veteran in the world premiere of “Second Time Around.”

The second installment in Varon’s cycle about fictional residents of a San Francisco retirement home (after last year’s “Feisty Old Jew”) depicts 92-year-old former bomber pilot Ben, being videotaped by a high school student for a history project.
