49ers sign LB Armstrong to extension; tender contracts to Wilhoite, Devey

The 49ers have signed Armstrong, who was scheduled to become a restricted free agent, to a one-year contract extension.

In his three-year career, the former undrafted free agent has five starts, 57 tackles and one sack.

The 49ers can match any offer Wilhoire receives in free agency, but they would not receive a draft picks if signs with another team.

Devey, 28, an exclusive rights free agent, has no negotiating power and would receive a minimum salary if he makes the team.
