Relief for middle-class as FM shelves Budget move to tax EPF withdrawals

The government on Tuesday decided to put on hold its controversial plan to tax part of the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawals, following protests from the salaried middle class, labour unions and lawmakers.
