After 60 scoreless minutes, Brad Marchand needed just seconds to lift Boston to a win.
Marchand scored 10 seconds into overtime, Jonas Gustavsson made 42 saves and the Bruins beat the host Tampa Bay Lightning 1-0 on Tuesday night in a matchup of Atlantic Division leaders.
“That was a good hockey game,” Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said.
Anders Lee scored the tie-breaking goal in the third period, Jaroslav Halak stopped 31 shots and got his 200th career victory, and host New York improved to 11-2-1 in its past 14 games.
