IGP Presents N10m cheque to 20 families of policemen who lost their lives in active service
The inspector general of police (IGP), Solomon Arase has presented a cheque of N10 million to the families of 20 policemen who lost their lives in active service.
The Leadership reports that the policemen who died while fighting insurgency in the northeast including Bauchi, Borno, and Yobe states respectively were compensated through their next of kin.

Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the IGP at the Zone 12 headquarters in Bauchi, on Tuesday, March 8, an assistant inspector general of police, Tunde Ogunsankin acknowledged the efforts of the officers.
He sympathized with the families adding that they effort of the officers will not be forgotten.
Meanwhile, the police have said that two suspected armed robbers have been shot dead in Dutsen Baupma, Abuja.
