An as yet unidentified middle-aged man was murdered in Lagos state yesterday after a brawl broke out for an unusual reason.
According to eye witness reports, the man was killed because he complained about public urination!
Three other men were injured during the deadly fracas in the Berger Suya area of Lagos state.

According to Vanguard, the trouble started at about 10am yesterday morning after another middle-aged man, identified as Friday Momoh, urinated beside a parked truck.
Eye witnesses said the murder victim subsequently confronted Friday who he had previously warned against urinating beside the truck because of the offensive stench and the general immorality of doing so.
The confrontation swiftly degenerated into a brawl between both men with three other bystanders joining in.

It is unclear whether the bystanders who joined the fight were attempting to aid one man or stop the fight entirely.
However, during the course of the battle, Friday allegedly viciously stabbed his victim with a broken bottle, causing him to bleed to death on the street.
Shops in the area have now been put under lock and key as traders deserted their shops, and customers are staying away from the area.

Local police officers led by the divisional police officer from Trinity division are on the scene to restore law and order.
The unfortunate victim’s remains have been taken to the morgue while the injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital.
It is currently unclear whether Friday has been detained by the police or if he is on the run.
