Watchdog: Case not handled properly before 2 kids, mom slain
(AP) — A children's watchdog agency says social service workers didn't comply with Michigan policies and state law in the handling of a child safety case of two children later fatally shot by their mother's ex-boyfriend.
The Holland Sentinel and MLive.com report the Office of Children's Ombudsman recommended in a report Tuesday that Allegan County's child protective services provide more training to workers.
