Akali-BJP to take on Centre, Congress walks out on SYL water row

The war over sharing of water between Punjab and Haryana, involving the Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal (SYC), took an ugly turn in Chandigarh on Tuesday when the protesting Congress MLAs nearly came to blows with cops after they were stopped from entering into the Vidhan Sabha, leading to a walkout.
