Who is Ayodele Daniel Dada?
Ayodele Dada is a graduate of the department of psychology, University of Lagos. I’m the first child of my parents, we are just two.
We are Christians and we hail from Ekiti state. My mother is a teacher and my father a retired accountant who is into ministry now. I had my secondary school education in Ajegunle and Apapa area of Lagos state.
Growing up I always had to expose myself to a higher intellectual environment by reading in order to at least to be more enlightened and exposed as inspired by my dad who places a high premium on education.

How supportive were your parents towards your academics?
My parents were always there monitoring the progress. My dad took it serious, ensuring we were always on top of our game.
In my choice of course, I was the one motivating myself. My parents supported me morally and I was not keen on getting financial support from them. This is because I had always wanted to be independent.
How many times did you have to take JAMB and WAEC?
WAEC and NECO I took once because I made all my subjects at the same time. JAMB (UTME) I wrote twice because the first one I took I gained admission to study one of the engineering courses which I didn’t want but there was intervention. I was eventually able to take another UTME in 2011 that got me in to study psychology.
The UTME result was cancelled by JAMB because according to them I cheated, that put me in a spiral and I had to seek alternatives.
I had to get foundation diploma course where I topped my faculty.
While is school how would you describe your study plan?
My study plan was considerably flexible but there were things I didn’t joke with. The first thing I didn’t joke with was revising after class, which made my work load easier.
I did not have a strict study plan. It was more about task, to complete them within a certain time frame.
Describe how your social life was a student?
My social life was not totally the nerdy life style. I tried to socialize, by going to the cinemas and birthday parties.
Once in a while I drink vodka at parties. I was also on various committees in school.
What’s next for you after Unilag?
I would like to learn more, explore more of my options. I want to apply what I know in the real world.
Did you at any point know you were going to be the best graduating student?
Yes, I began to suspect that at 300 level and the first semester of my final year.
While in school did you have a girlfriend?
No I did not, although virtually all my friends were girls. I decided not to have any serious committed relationship because I evaluated the lives of most people who had been able to achieve distinctive grades and even though some of them were in relationships, most of them were not. So I felt that was a statistically significant number when the two groups are compared.
So I decided to give myself a better chance at becoming the best because I know relationships require time which was one of my precious resources.

What were the major challenges you faced in school?
My major challenge was time. I didn’t have enough time to do some of the things I needed to do because I was involved in other things asides from academics like selling stuffs to earm extra money. The tendency to get fatigued due to stress.
Do you have anything to say concerning reports of you been evicted from your home?
I don’t want to elaborate so much more on it because a lot has been said and I have been following all the development.
The source of the message was very well intended it’s just that some people have misunderstood certain things and may have misconstrued a lot more to it.
Yes there is quite a lot of truth to that statement all I would say for now is that things are been done to fix the situation.
