Giants’ Casilla, Romo, Cain working way back; debuts for Cueto, Crawford

Giants relievers Santiago Casilla and Sergio Romo threw 30 pitches Wednesday on a back field at Scottsdale Stadium, facing hitters, and the results were promising.

Cain’s training camp was put on hold when he had a cyst removed from his upper right arm.

Shortstop Brandon Crawford (shoulder tendinitis) is making his defensive debut Wednesday, and Hunter Pence (Achilles tendinitis) is to debut Friday.

Johnny Cueto is making his first Giants start Wednesday, and here’s the lineup: DH Span, 3B Duffy, SS Crawford, C Posey, 1B Belt, RF Parker, LF Williamson, 2B Pena, CF Hernandez.
