Loans to become cheaper as RBI cuts key rate to 5-yr low

Home loans and other borrowings are set to get cheaper by at least half a percentage point in the coming months following Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan’s decision to cut rates by 25 basis points to 6.50% — an over-five-year low.
