On Oct. 15, 1973, three men stood in the White House before President Richard Nixon as he bestowed upon them the Medal of Honor for valor and heroics in the Vietnam War. Tuesday morning, at C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center ceremony honoring Vietnam service, one of those men used the moment to link lessons learned then to the ongoing struggles of veterans and active duty service members today.
