Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres has admitted he is to blame for Atletio Madrid’s 2 – 1 defeat to Barcelona but says UEFA and th referee should also be blamed.

Speaking after the game, Torres said UEFA was more interested in potential kit clashes – with both sides wearing their away strip on the night – than competent refereeing.
Barcelona awkwardly wore yellow while Atletico wore their black away kit.
Torres scored the opening goal and was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Busquests around the 30th minute mark and that held Barca reverse the lead and win 2 – 1 thank to Luis Suarez brace.

The 31 year old said after the game: “It’s a shame that UEFA are so preoccupied with changing our kits and putting a referee that has failed to be at the level of a Champions League quarter-final.”
Torres celebrates his goal
The referee of the game was Felix Brych.
Torres also apologized to fans: “This is one of the worst days of my life as a footballer,” the former Liverpool and Chelsea striker said. “I am sad to have left the team with 10 [men].
“In a way I feel responsible for the team not winning. I am certain that with 11 it would have been totally different.”
Barcelona will now carry a 2 – 1 advantage to the Vicente Calderon next week as Atletico are now yet to win or draw in seven games against the Catalans.
