Revealing football website, Football Leaks ‘leaked’ details of the winger’s contract which he signed when he arrived the club for £25m from PSV Eindhoven.
The winger is yet to justify his wages of his transfer fee though he has shown flashes of his potential in spates.
According to FL, for the duration of his first season at United, Memphis will earn a total of £5.2m in basic salary. which equates to £100,000 each week, but it will automatically drop to £75,000 (£3.9m annually) on 1st July 2016.
However the Dutchman could see his basic wage stay at £5.2m next season as per an agreement regarding United’s possible qualification for the Champions League.

Even though his salary will initially fall, the contract states that the player is entitled to a £1.3m annual increase for the 2016/17 campaign if the club takes a place in the group stages of Europe’s elite club competition – either automatically or via extra qualifying rounds.
But with United still facing a serious fight with both Manchester City and West Ham for the Premier League’s all-important fourth place there are certainly no guarantees.
Memphis is also entitled to further £1.3m pay rises for each of the two seasons after that, based on the same criteria. It means that assuming United can back into the Champions League for 2016/17 and stay there, the Dutchman could actually be earning £7.8m per year (£150,000 each week) by 2018/19.
Depay has failed to light up the Premier League since his big money move from PSV last summer.
The Dutchman has played in 39 games for United and scored only seven goals though 23 of those appearances have come from in the Premier League.
