Manager Bruce Bochy could have left Pagan at No. 9 and had Blanco lead off, and he made it sound like a coin flip.

“I don’t know if it’s right or wrong,” Bochy said.

Bochy also decided to leave Pagan in left field so he can continue to adapt to his new position.
