– The group says persecution, arrest, detention and killings will never deter it from pressing for Biafra

According to Madu, noting that Biafra shall maintain its position of non-violence, civil disobedience and outright rejection of Nigeria occupation of Biafranland.
“MASSOB has concluded plans to attend an International Conference on the Rights of Indigenous People and self-determination which will be held in a Western European country soon,” he said.
“The leader of MASSOB, was invited alongside other world leaders of self-determination groups, and would attend the Conference with 7 man delegation of MASSOB national executive officials.
“MASSOB will also pressurize and insist on the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB, Benjamin Onwuka of BZM and 23 Biafran detainees at Awka and Onitsha prison since 2006. We demand the unconditional release of our brother, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB Leader and others) whose cases cannot be justified by Nigeria government. Their continued detention has exposed the incompetency and bias mind of Nigeria judiciary.
“The more Nnamdi Kanu is being detained, the more Nigeria suffers diplomatic damages and shame. MASSOB will continue to partner with IPOB, lower Niger Congress and Biafran groups in diaspora for genuine agitation. We shall never relent as Nigeria persecution, arrest, detention and killings will never deter us from pressing for Biafra,” the statement added.
