Country Music Legend Merle Haggard Dies on His 79th Birthday

Country music legend Merle Haggard died Wednesday morning at his home near Redding, Calif., ABC23 first reported.

Last week he canceled concert dates with Willie Nelson, with whom he collaborated on an album last year, after his health worsened.
