Here’s why the A’s flew on the Giants’ plane

No, the A’s players weren’t upset, embarrassed or complaining, according to right fielder Josh Reddick.

Reddick tweeted a picture of the plane, with a Giants logo, and heard back from not-too-thrilled A’s fans.

Just not as nice, Reddick and other A’s said, as the plane the A’s generally use — the Dallas Mavericks’ plane, which wasn’t available Sunday.

[...] Eastern Airlines had the A’s use the one chartered by the Giants, who wouldn’t need it until flying to Denver Monday.

Eastern reconfigured the Giants’ 90-seat chartered plane to their specifications, different from the plane they chartered from a diffferent company last season.

Of his tweet, which prompted follow-up posts and analysis on many websites, Reddick said, We were trying to have fun with it.
