The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has given the Department of State Security Services (DSS) seven days to show evidence of how its members killed and buried Hausa/Fulani herdsmen in Abia state.
The group said if the DSS failed to meet the ultimatum, it will tell expose the plot by the agency to instigate the killing of the Igbo people in the north through the fabrication of lies, Sun reports.

In a statement by the media and publicity secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, the group urged members of the public to disregard the allegations from the DSS linking its members to the alleged killings of the northerners, insisting the allegation lacks credibility.
IPOB accused the agency of trying to profile its members as terrorists after running out of ideas on how to quell the growing agitation for the Biafra nation.
It said: “DSS have realised that they are on the losing side of the legal proceedings that they initiated against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB.
“They have rather resorted to concocting stories of abduction and killing and have subtly introduced the word “terrorism“ so that they will hopefully make it stick on IPOB.
“One of the reasons behind this ill-fated statement by the DSS is to give them the opportunity to go to court and cite Section-62(2) of CAP38 LFN 2004, which is the missing piece in the second charge against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. But they have failed woefully.

The group therefore charged Biafrans in the north and in the West to be careful against attacks following the accusations by the DSS.
In another development, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has defied a directive by leaders of the south-east zone of the APC urging pro-Biafra groups to give up the struggle for the actualisation of an independent state of Biafra.
The pro Biarian group has urged the Igbo and the members of the other ethnic nationalities in the south-east to disregard the advice of the Igbo APC chieftains.
The group in a release through its national director of information, Samuel Edeson, accused the south-east APC leaders of being only after their personal interests.
