|||Johannesburg - Images of a lion roaming the streets of Braamfontein caused such excitement, it managed to get a Twitter account.
On Monday night one image tweeted by user @frypanmfula showed the lion peeking through the back window of a white vehicle with what looks like a camera filming in the background, suggesting the predator was part of a film shoot.
The second picture apparently showed the lion roaming the streets, with the words: “Lion spotted in the streets of Braam. By Nandos. Braam streets are mad official.”
Twitter users had a field day, many of them trying to figure out where the lion came from and others making fun of the sub-culture of Braamfontein.

The City of Joburg and the Joburg metro police department didn't know anything about the lion.
JMPD spokesman Wayne Minnaar said: “The radio control centre cannot confirm this.”
