– The enforcement of the use of pedestrian bridge in Lagos is eliciting reactions from Lagosians
– They say more bridges should be constructed to ease the queues
It’s the second day of the enforcement of the use of the pedestrian bridge in Ojota and Lagosians are not finding it amusing.

Pedestrians trying to cross from Ikorodu road towards Maryland have to deal with their counterparts coming from the Ogudu axis. Officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline and the police were seen around the area trying to maintain calm as a long file of pedestrians queued to wait their turns before getting to the other side of the road. The encouragement of the use of pedestrian bridges is commendable in a city where accidents are not uncommon. Not only does it restores sanity but also encourages safety of lives. However, the constraint in the use of the bridge has left many Lagosians fuming in annoyance.
Law enforcement by KAI in Ojota is encouraging but there is need for Gov. @AkinwunmiAmbode to build more infastructures| @Gidi_Traffic

The queues are so long that someone can cross the road to and fro 0 times it will take another person to use the pedestrian bridge. Another complaint from Lagosians is that people with disabilities have a tougher time using the bridge.
Some of them hope this ‘madness’ will only last for a short while and things will soon be back to normal. While the use of the bridge should be maintained, more bridges needs to be constructed to reduce the time needed to use it.
