Shooting Stars coach, Kadiri Ikhana has diplomatically appealed to the Oyo state government for sponsorship, adding that his team plays attractive football to convince the government to invest in them.
The former Enyimba coach pointed out that finance has been a key factor of why they are not getting the deserved results away from home.

“We are not getting the right finance and at the same time we are trying to build up the teams’ style of play.
“We want to encourage the government to invest in the team, we are up to standard in our away matches but we are still lacking,” he said.
Shooting have been unable to get maximum points away from home this season as they were trounced 0-3 by El-Kanemi over the weekend placing them 15th on the league table with 12 points from 10 matches.

Ikhana replaced Gbenga Ogunbote as coach of Shooting Stars. The latter is now with Giwa FC.
The management of Enyimba football club of Aba refused to renew his contract after he helped the People’s Elephants to a record seventh league title last season.
Shooting Stars also known as the Oluyole Warriors finished ninth in the 2014/2015 season, having managed 53 points from 38 matches.
Kadiri Ikhana is very vast with Nigerian local football, having managed Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United as well.
