The chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Justice Danladi Umar may have a few troubles of his own and may likely face the law soon as he has been summoned by the Senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions over allegations of corruption against him.
Justice Danladi Umar is overseeing the trial of Senate president, Bukola Saraki at the CCT
The saying: “He who must come to equity must come with clean hands” may eventually catch up with him.
Umar was indicted of corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly demanding a N10million bribe from a retired Comptroller of Customs, Rasheed Taiwo.

He is the justice overseeing the trial of Senate president, Bukola Saraki at the CCT over a 13 count of corruption and false declaration of asset filed against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.
His invitation by the Senate over allegations of corruption against him has been greeted with various reactions.
Some Nigerians are wondering how credible he is to be trying Saraki for corruption while others are lashing the Senate for trying to disrupt the trial by inviting the CCT chairman.
