Boko Haram: Nigerians call on government to help rebuild Borno

– Borno state is collaborating with development agencies to ensure the rebuilding process of the state is on track despite occasional attacks by Boko Haram

– The first annual dialogue on rebuilding the state was held in Abuja today, April 19

– Nigerians are joining the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #RebuildBorno

Many Nigerians showed solidarity with the people of Borno state as the 1st Annual Dialogue on Rebuilding Borno was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel today, April 19.

Joining the conversation through micro-blogging site, Twitter, and using the hashtag #RebuildBorno, there were varying opinions on the issue.

The event had the theme: Peace in Borno: Thought Leadership Laboratory with the keynote address delivered by the Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima.

Other participants and discussants at the event include the ministers of health and solid minerals; Professor Isaac Adewole and Dr Kayode Fayemi, statistician general of the federation, Dr Yemi Kale and representatives of USAID, UNICEF, DFID and UNDP.
