The first music group that Ebenezer Obey was part of professionally was co-led by Sir Akinbobi Salvage and Bamgbose (Abembo Mayana). He was later to team up with the Late Fatai Rolling Dollars to form a band.
The Chief Commander formed his own band, Ebenezer Obey & His International Brothers’ Band in 1964. He released his first music album shortly, titled “E Wa Wo Ohun Oju Mi Ri” (Come & Witness What I Saw).
