Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of Tottenham, states that  Jamie Vardy’s ban will have a great impact on Leicester City.

English Premier League table-toppers Leicester City have suffered a massive set-back as striker Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association (FA).

The 29-year-old reacted furiously when referee Jon Moss showed him a second yellow card which earned him a marching orders in the 2 – 2 draw with West Ham on Sunday, April 17. The FA has also charged Leicester with failing to control their players after West Ham won an 83rd-minute penalty.

Vardy will miss Leicester’s fixture with Swansea City. And Pochettino believes that Claudio Ranieri’s side will be affected by Vardy’s absence, which could prove decisive in the title run-in: “The motivation is very good on the training ground and we have built up the week fantastically. We now have to patient and wait until Monday. You never know. It is true Vardy is one of the best players in the Premier League and it is normal it will affect them. We are in a race for the title and I hope they will drop points in the next game.”
