Only known Sendak mural is installed at Philadelphia library

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The only known mural painted by children's author Maurice Sendak will be on display at a new public library branch in Philadelphia.

The "Where the Wild Things Are" author painted the mural in 1961 for the children of his friends Lionel and Roslyn Chertoff in their New York City apartment.
