Bronx DA wants grand jury to probe Deborah Danner shooting

NEW YORK (AP) — The Bronx district attorney plans to ask a judge to impanel a special grand jury to investigate the fatal police shooting of 66-year-old Deborah Danner.

The mentally ill woman was shot at her Bronx apartment in October after she threatened a police sergeant with a bat.
