Jazz coach Quin Snyder misses game vs Lakers with illness
LOS ANGELES — Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder has fallen ill and is missing their game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Assistant coach Igor Kokoskov filled in for Snyder on Monday night.
Snyder didn’t feel well earlier in the day, and decided he couldn’t coach about 30 minutes before game time.
Kokoskov is a longtime associate of Snyder, first joining his coaching staff at Missouri in 1999.
The 44-year-old Serbian is a naturalized American citizen who has served as an assistant with the Clippers, Pistons, Suns, Cavaliers and Magic.
