The state is among the least-visited destinations among international tourists coming to India. State tourism minister on Monday said that of the total foreign tourists who visited India in the last few years less than 1% had come to Odisha. Industry experts says safety and security issues, lack of basic infrastructure and poor communication are among the main reasons for the drop in the inflow of foreign tourists to the state.
