UN: gains against Libya terrorism real but not irreversible
UNITED NATIONS — The U.N.’s special envoy to Libya says that while the fight against terrorism has produced results in the North African country those gains are not irreversible.
Martin Kobler told the Security Council on Tuesday that advances against terrorists have been made in both the western and eastern parts of the country and that the Islamic State group’s presence in the city of Sirte has been reduced from the entire city to just a few buildings.
