Vermette, Perry help Ducks overpower Senators 5-1
Antoine Vermette and Corey Perry each had a goal and an assist and the Anaheim Ducks scored a season-high three power-play goals to beat the visiting Ottawa Senators 5-1 on Sunday.
Vermette set up Ritchie’s goal with a beautiful backhand pass into the slot at 10:29 in the second period, giving the Ducks a 4-1 lead.
Vermette also capitalized on the power play with 47 seconds left in the first period to make it 3-1.
Vatanen closed the scoring with a power-play goal off the crossbar at 7:59 in the third period.
Perry scored his first power-play goal of the season at 12:05 of the first to break a 1-1 tie.
