Berg gets only goal as Panathinaikos beats Atromitos
ATHENS, Greece — Marcus Berg scored just before halftime to give Panathinaikos a 1-0 victory over host Atromitos in the Greek league on Sunday.
Berg’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Andrey Harbunow, but the Swedish forward scored on the rebound.
Playing before empty stands after Atromitos fans’ misbehavior in a game against Olympiakos, both teams had plenty of scoring chances, especially in the first half.
Panathinaikos remained in second place, four points behind Olympiakos.
