Police involved in shooting in South Los Angeles; at least 1 person injured

Police in South Los Angeles opened fire on Sunday night, and at least one person was wounded by a gunshot, authorities said.

Officers responded about 10:35 p.m. to 99th and Figueroa streets, according to LAPD Sgt. James Linder.

At some point, at least one officer fired a gun, Linder said.
