Sale of Philips Unit Shows Cost of CFIUS Rejection

Philips is selling a stake in its Lumileds unit to private-equity firm Apollo for about $1.5 billion, a significantly lower amount than it had initially agreed with a Chinese group before U.S. authorities blocked the deal.
